There will be pictures coming along in a bit, but first some Easter stories. Yesterday we hosted Easter and Maria was so excited about her cousin's visit that she couldn't even nap! As soon as they walked in the door she was shouting "Cam!" "Doug Doug!" and chasing them all around. They played with her in her new toyroom (again, pics are coming) and ran around the family room together screeching and laughing the whole time. They sat together at dinner and giggled the whole way through. And when it was time to open Easter baskets Maria was more interested in cam and Doug and what they were doing than she was with her own baskets!
Eariler in the morning Maria opened her basket from the Easter Bunny. He brought her a Diego talking camera, some sparkly bracelets and some sidewalk chalk. She marched around all morning taking pictures of everything and wearing her bracelets. Last night, however, she couldn't sit still to look at her baskets. She got a pair of bunny hops and a flower headband along with some other goodies including her first chocolate bunny! But she was more interested in cam and Doug and what they were doing.
After dinner and dessert (Maria polished off a chocolate eclair in record time!) came the Easter egg hunt. All was going well, Maria had 2 eggs in her basket she was hunting...until....she found herself in front of the chip bowl. The egg hunt was abandoned as she sampled some potato chips and tasted the dip! LOL Silly girl. After the egg hunt we played in the basement for a while and we finally said goodbye to our last guests at about 9:00. Maria's eyes were red-rimmed. She was exhausted but being the hostess she is she didn't let her exhaustion stop her from entertaining her guests! A great time was had by all. We hope that you and your familes and friends had a wonderful Easter, too!
